The Arc of Wilson County Activities and Event Calendars

Itsy Bitsy Artist is held at The Wilson Arts Center located at 204 Nash St S, Wilson. This workshop invites parents to bring their children aged 0-4 years to experience the joy of creating art together. The Itsy Bitsy Artist Playgroup offers a fun and engaging opportunity for young children and their caregivers to explore their creativity through a variety of artistic activities. Participants can look forward to a nurturing environment that encourages self-expression and the development of fine motor skills. Classes are free, but limited to 12 participants and pre-registration is required at https://wilsonarts.com/creativehearts/.

Library Group is held at The Wilson County Library, located at 249 Nash St N, Wilson. This is an all inclusive reading time for ages 0-2. Each week we will explore a new theme with favorite stories, old and new!

Playgroup will be held at First Christian Church* located at 207 Tarboro St NE, Wilson. This is an all inclusive playgroup for ages 0-4. Each week, we provide unstructured, structured learning (think like Marbles).

Caring Heart is held at The Wilson Arts Center located at 204 Nash St S, Wilson. This is a closed group.

Hope Singers: Due to current response, Hope Singers will be a closed group for Diversified participants. Hope Singers Concert will be at Diversified Opportunities.

In the event of inclement weather, we will follow the guidance of Wilson Emergency Management and Wilson County Schools. This means if Wilson County Schools are closed, we will be closed as well. This is for the safety of both our staff and our participants.

Seasonal Dances 2025

Seasonal dances are held on Thursdays from 7:00-8:30 pm at Moose Lodge 2705 Forest Hills RD Wilson, NC 27893. Dances are free and open to anyone in/around Wilson County with I/DD. Dancers should not arrive before 7:00pm and should be picked up no later than 8:30pm.

Valentine’s Day Dance: February 6th 7:00pm-8:30pm (Moose Lodge) This dance will be for our adult participants only.

End of School Dance: June 12th 7pm-8pm (Moose Lodge) This dance will be for school aged (K-12) participants and their families only!

Halloween Spooktacular Dance: October 8th 7:00pm-8:30pm (Moose Lodge) This dance will be for our adult participants only.

A Christmas To Remember Dance: December 11th 7pm-8pm (Moose Lodge) This dance will be for school aged (K-12) participants and their families only!

Hope Singers

Hope Singers is back and better than ever!!! We couldn’t be more excited. Please check our calendar for practice and concert dates. This is a group made up of adults (16 and up) with I/DD.
